About Olúfémi ÒLA

Hezekiah Adékólá Olúfémi ÒLA was born on December 6, 1958, to the family of Pa Daniel Òla and Madam Folásadé Òla in Ògogo-Àkáró, via Ifèwàrà, Òsun State, Nigeria. He started his academic career at St. Peters’ Anglican Primary School, Ògogo-Àkáró in 1964. He attended Baptist Modern School, Ode-Òmu between 1973 and 1974; L.A. Modern School (now Urban Day Grammar School), Modákéké during 1974/75 session; Modákéké High School, Modákéké between 1975 and 1980. He studied Physics Electronics techniques in the Technologists Training Scheme of Obáfémi Awólówò University in between 1981 and 1988, and he also obtained Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science at the Federal University of Technology, Àkúré in 2003. He is married to Adérónké Olúwatóyìn. In fact, it was a meeting of two Music Professionals that was built on the rock and the marriage produced godly children that are trying to break grounds in their academic and professional lives around the globe. Aside from his technical activities in the laboratories in the Department, Mr. Ola developed the manual that is guiding the use of files and their locations in the Department since 1983. Mr. Ola served in many professional activities in the Association of Science Laboratory Technologist (ASLTON). He is the current Branch Secretary, ASLTON, OAU; Òsun State Secretary (ASLTON); and Secretary to National Constitution Review Committee of ASLTON. He rose from Technical Assistant in 1981 to the rank of Chief Technical Officer in 2012. He is the Head of the Technical Team in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of this University. Mr. Ola love to put a smile on the face of everyone he comes across.
