Peter Adebayo Idowu is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, at Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria. Idowu received MPhil (Computer Science) and Ph.D. (Computer Science) from Aston University, Birmingham, United Kingdom, and Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria in 2009 and 2012 respectively. His research focus is on Applied Computing which is the application of computing to address and solve health-related problems in Sub-Saharan Africa. He is currently researching HIV/AIDS, disease modeling, and cloud computing in health care delivery. He is also a Member of the British Computer Society, Internet Society Nigeria Chapter, Nigerian Computer Society, Computer Professional Registration Council of Nigeria, Nigerian Young Academy, International Geospatial Society, International Association of Engineers, and International Federation of Information Processing WG 9.4. His current research includes Health Informatics, Software Engineering, Data Mining, GIS, and Data Science. He has successfully supervised over 30 postgraduate students excluding PGD.
